Everybody wants a simple solution, but the truth is it takes some denial and some work to lose weight (more denial and more work the older you get)! Another help- eat slower, take up some kind of hobby to keep your hands busy if you are a snacker (I use blogging to help with that!),drink tons of water. And as for the skinny bitches? What wuld a skinny bitch know that could help an average bitch lose weight!?

Quit smoking when Finn was born (and I turned 40). Promptly put on a significant amount of weight. My doc told me, based on my test results last summer, I was in danger of becoming diabetic. Went on South Beach. Lost 30 pounds in 4 months and my doc is now considering decreasing the amount of Lipitor I take to avoid my blood turning to butter. Went off South Beach for Xmas and put on 10 lbs, have stayed on the basics of South Beach since then and am losing 2-3 lbs a month in spite of my diet revealed on my blog. If you need advice, not medical just based on my experience with SB, let me know.
